Edward T. Plyler, MD 
Dr. Plyler graduated form the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. After completing his residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina he came to Morganton to work with Dr. Andy Lang and developed Burke Primary Care.
In practice since 1984, Dr. Plyler has a special interest in osteoporosis prevention and treatment. He is a member of the International Society of Clinical Densitometry certified as a Clinical Densitometrist since 1996. He has served as Medical Staff President and on the Blue Ridge Healthcare Board. He is Medical Director of Grace Ridge Retirement Community and Grace Heights Nursing Home. Dr. Plyler and his wife have two fun teenagers. He enjoys gardening, tennis, travel, theatre and hiking with his family. He and his family are members of Morganton First Presbyterian Church and are active in the community.
