Edward
T. Plyler, MD

Dr. Plyler graduated from the University of North Carolina School
of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. After completing his
residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina
he came to Morganton to work with Dr. Andy Lang at what is now
Burke Primary Care.
In practice since 1984, Dr. Plyler has a special interest in bone
densitometry and osteoporosis prevention. He is a member of the
International Society of Clinical Densitometry and is active in
the community. He has been on the local Grace Hospital board and
is currently Medical Director at Grace Ridge Retirement Community
and Grace Heights Nursing Home. Dr. Plyler and his wife have two
fun children. Dr. Plyler enjoys gardening, tennis, travel, theatre,
and hiking with his family.
