Martin Gessner, MD

Dr. Martin Gessner is building his clinical pratice as a general internist for Burke Primary Care.  For the last 3 years Dr. Gessner has worked as our hospitalist, helping to serve the needs of our adult patients at Grace Hospital.  Starting July 1st he will be building an office practice for adult patients over the age of 18 with specialized interest in the management of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses.

Dr. Gessner is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Wake Forest University School of medicine.  He also completed his residency training in internal medicine at the same institution.  He is board certified in internal medicine and has worked in private practice for 8 years.  He is married and has 2 children.  His interests include spending time with his family, reading, playing golf, and watching sports.
