HAWES JOINS BURKE PRIMARY CARE AS PHYSICIANS ASSISTANT
Morganton, NC (Sept. 10, 2018) – Elizabeth Hawes recently joined Burke Primary Care’s growing roster of primary care healthcare specialist as a certified Physician’s Assistant (PA-C). Ms. Hawes will team with Dr. Martin Gessner at Burke Primary Care.
A resident of Valdese, Hawes completed her family medicine rotation at Burke Primary Care in April 2018, during which she focused on providing quality whole-person healthcare to patients of all ages.
Hawes completed her M.S. Physician Assistant Studies at Garner-Webb University in May 2018. She was a 2012 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Lenoir-Rhyne where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.
Before joining Burke Primary Care, Hawes was instrumental in the expansion planning for Carolina Cancer & Surgery Center in Hickory, NC where she provided oversight and structure to marketing materials and expansion-related startup materials. Hawes also worked as an EMT and Medical First Responder at the Valdese Fire Department offering medical care to medical-related 911 calls and assisted EMS on emergency calls.
