Melissa S Morse joins Burke Primary Care as a Family Practice Physician Assistant as part of the practice’s ongoing expansion and facility growth.
Starting Jan. 2, 2013, Morse will be working closely with Dr. Michael Gould, Dr. Deborah Davis and their patients.
Melissa was a Physician Assistant with Ridgeview Family Medicine after she earned her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in August 2011 from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. Her clinical rotations included Family Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, General Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry and Gastroenterology.
She is a 2008 graduate of Michigan State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and graduated with honors.
“We are delighted to bring someone with Melissa’s qualifications, dedication and commitment to quality care to Burke Primary Care,” said the practice’s Chief Operating Office Scott Gallagher. “Expertise aside, her natural and relaxed demeanor and personality will be an ideal fit for our practice and our patients.”
Residing in Morganton, Morse was drawn to western North Carolina because of the abundant natural resources. “In my moments of free time,” she said, “I can most often be found outdoors hiking, camping or simply enjoying nature.”
