Dr. Martin Gessner joined Burke Primary Care in 2004 and focuses his practice on caring for adult patients over the age of 25 with specialized interest in the management of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses.
Dr. Gessner is a true Demon Deacon as he is a graduate of both Wake Forest University and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine since the year 2000. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the NC Med Society.
Dr. Gessner and his wife have two teenage sons that occupy their time. His interests include playing golf, traveling, and walking his dog. He is an avid sports fan who loves watching the Demon Deacons, Steelers and PGA golf.
