originally published in The Paper

Morganton, NC (April 9, 2024) Burke Primary Care has successfully renewed its American College of Radiology (ACR) Mammography Accreditation. Among its array of services, mammography stands out as a cornerstone in the fight against breast cancer. The recent renewal of the ACR Mammography Accreditation underscores the clinic's commitment to excellence and the significance of maintaining rigorous standards in breast imaging services.

Since its inception in 1987, the ACR's Mammography Accreditation Program has played a crucial role in assisting medical facilities, including Burke Primary Care, in providing excellent operations and patient care. The stringent regulations set by the ACR have been instrumental in ensuring that mammography facilities in the United States meet the necessary improvements and specifications for women's health.

Upon learning of the impending expiration, Burke Primary Care took a proactive approach and promptly submitted the renewal application within the required timeframe. This comprehensive application process involved verifying the qualifications of the staff, ensuring all tests were in line with ACR and unit manufacturer standards, and reviewing a selection of mammography images. This proactive approach underscores the clinic's commitment to maintaining its ACR Mammography Accreditation.
