Morganton, NC (May 8, 2017) – Dr. Laura D. Gratton, D.O., joins Burke Primary Care as a Family Practitioner. She is board certified in Family Medicine to provide comprehensive whole-person care to all ages of the families of Burke County.
A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association and the Christian Medical and Dental Association, Dr. Gratton will team with Dr. Deborah Davis and Burke Primary Care’s roster of providers. Morganton, NC (Feb. 27, 2017) – Natalie Alexander Thompson, MSN, FNP-C, recently joined Burke Primary Care as a family nurse practitioner to provide personalized care to patients across their lifespan. A member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Thompson will team with Dr. Keith Smith and his roster of patients.
Natalie and her husband, Brian, live in Morganton and have one daughter, Maggie-Claire. “She keeps us busy,” Natalie said. “Her hobbies are my hobbies.” Natalie enjoys a good book and the beautiful Blue Mountains.

JANUARY 2016 - This month I retired from Burke Primary Care after 16 years of wonderful work as a provider of medical care. Most of you whom I have seen on a regular or occasional basis already know this.
Nothing has given me greater satisfaction and pleasure than working at Burke Primary Care and with its team and its patients. From the top on down, there is a striving at Burke Primary Care to help people by providing excellent medical care.

Morganton, NC (Jan. 10, 2017) – Burke Primary Care physicians recently were recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for sustained delivery of high-quality of care to patients with diabetes.
The national recognition was based on strict measurements that cover areas such as HbA1c control, blood pressure control, eye examinations, Nephropathy Assessment and smoking and tobacco cessation treatments.
